Global Governance/Politics, Climate Justice & Agrarian/Social Justice

The International Institute for Social Studies in The Hague hosted their important annual gathering 4th and 5th February 2016 on the subject of Global Governance/Politics, Climate Justice & Agrarian/Social Justice: Linkages and Challenges.

With the support and encouragement of Urgenci International Committee, Judith Hitchman successfully submitted a paper on food sovereignty, solidarity economy and CSA, and attended the meeting to present it in a workshop.

Live streaming of the 2 days was available for those who could not attend The Hague.

It involved 2 very long days of keynote speeches, plenary panel discussions and workshops, as well as book launches and reminders of some of the key struggles that are ongoing. The most important keynote speeches were by Olivier de Schutter, Peter Rosset and Raj Patel, but there were many others. The full programme is still available on-line, as are all the many rich and varied papers submitted by the participants in plenaries, panels and workshops. You can find them here.
