The SWIFT Portal is live!
The Portal is a reflection of one of URGENCI’s main partnerships, the SWIFT project. SWIFT is a European collaboration of movements, researchers, and women-led innovations working to make our food systems fairer and more resilient. The Portal, built inside URGENCI’s Learning Hub, is unapologetically feminist: it names the exclusions that women and gender-diverse people face in agriculture and rural policy. You’ll find a podcast series, a map of feminist agroecological futures, grounded case studies, and ready-to-use resources for movements, municipalities, and anyone building dignified, local food economies.

Alongside the Portal, we’re launching Soil Sisters. This is a companion podcast series that attempts to demonstrate that listening is organising. Each episode brings together farmers, organisers, researchers, and movement folks to talk plainly about labour, land, care, migration, and power. You will discover how feminist participatory action research actually works on the ground; how communities build economic autonomy in the face of precarity; and how alliances are forged across languages and borders.
This launch is an invitation: explore the Portal, pick a resource that speaks to your context, and take it to your network! Put an episode on while you travel or work in the field—then bring the conversation back to us or to your community! Consider sharing the Portal and its resources with a colleague in local government. But we’d love it if you would explore what’s here and use what’s meaningful to start something or strengthen what you’ve already begun.
