We are really excited to share with you the comicbook “Journey to Green Horizons”!
This comicbook has been realized during the project Agroecological Youth Education for Future (AYE!), an Erasmus+ project that aims to increase the environmental awareness and ecological literacy of the youth by introducing them to agroecology as a holistic science which provides solutions for sustainable environment and sustainable food systems.
Within the project young people have written stories about agroecology which have been transformed into a comic book. The comic book is a unique collective work of around 100 educators, students and illustrators from 6 different countries. These people gathered around the topic of agroecology together and tried to grasp it in a creative and enjoyable way
The educators – as boring as they might be – brought to the process the content: the issue of agroecology in its broad sense and all connections.
The students then translated this content into the stories’ creative sketches that depict their (mis)understanding of agroecology.
These sketches were then grasped by professional storytellers and illustrators who gave those stories the colourful dimension of the comic book.
