Over 300 URGENCI International Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) network delegates representing over 2 million members from all over the world have just spent three days gathered in Thessaloniki (Greece) for the 7th Urgenci International CSA network meeting, as well as the 4th European gathering and the 2nd Mediterranean Network meeting.
On 9-11 November 2018 the European Community-Supported Agriculture movements gathered in Thessaloniki, Greece, for their 4th European Meeting. The “CSA beyond borders” event expanded to include the 7th International CSA Symposium and the
Urgenci takes position against Commission’s proposals regarding the Common Agriculture Policy Reform, and for a New Social Contract between the Farmers and the Societies They Feed.
The multiplication of projects and the growth of activities, has led to Urgenci recruiting a Project and Communication Manager.
The 2nd International Symposium on Agroecology took place at the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) headquarters in Rome, 3-5 April 2018. 700 participants, representing Member States, FAO agencies, farmers’ unions, civil society organisations and social movements as well as researchers from all over the world exchanged on their practices and visions of agroecology.
